Our text-message programs for drivers and repair staff have their own Text Messaging Privacy Policy and SMS Terms and Conditions.

  • We do not sell personal information for money.
  • One advertising cookie (from Facebook/Meta) loads only if you click Accept. If you reject it, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, it never loads.
  • Videos and maps from YouTube and Google load only when you click to play or show them.
  • Job applications are completed on our application provider's site, described in the notice to job applicants.

Forms

Our rate request form (Contact page) and driver call-back form (Careers page) send what you enter by email to our sales team or recruiting team. The website itself does not save your submission; the email is the record, and our team keeps it as long as needed to answer you and for normal business records. We use these details only to respond to your request. We do not add you to a mailing list or a text-message program from these forms, and we do not sell or share what you send. Driver call-backs are also covered by our notice to job applicants.

Spam protection. To keep automated spam out of these forms, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. It loads only when you start filling in a form. Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical details about your browser and device, uses them only to tell people from bots, and does not use them for advertising. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the forms secure; the form cannot be sent without it.

Cookies and your choices

The only advertising cookie on this site is Meta's _fbp. It is set only after you click Accept on our cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time with the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we delete the cookie from your browser and stop loading the Pixel.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising, and the Pixel never loads. We do not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals, because GPC is the standard recognized by law.

Who receives information

  • Vercel, Inc. hosts this website and processes request data on our behalf.
  • Twilio SendGrid delivers form submissions to our sales and recruiting inboxes on our behalf.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile) checks form submissions for bots on our behalf, only when you use a form.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. receives Pixel data, only if you accept. Meta's use of that data is also governed by Meta's own privacy policy.
  • Google LLC (YouTube and Google Maps) receives data only if you choose to load the video or map.
  • Tenstreet, LLC operates our online job applications on its own website (see job applicants).
  • Government authorities or others when required by law, or to protect our rights, our employees or the public.

Notice to California residents

This section applies under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA").

Categories of personal information collected through this website in the last 12 months

  • Identifiers (IP address, cookie identifiers). Source: your browser. Purposes: operating and securing the site; with your consent, ad measurement. Disclosed to: Vercel (service provider); Meta, with consent.
  • Internet or network activity (pages viewed, clicks on application buttons). Same sources, purposes and recipients as above.
  • Identifiers and commercial information you submit in a form (name, company, email, phone, load details). Source: you. Purpose: answering your rate request. Disclosed to: SendGrid (service provider).
  • Professional or employment-related information you submit in a form (CDL experience, preferred terminal, with name, phone and optional email). Source: you. Purpose: a recruiter calling you back. Disclosed to: SendGrid (service provider).

Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. When a visitor accepts the Meta Pixel, the disclosure of identifiers and internet activity to Meta for advertising may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA. That happens only with your opt-in consent, and you can opt out at any time with the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link or a GPC signal. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16.

Sensitive personal information. This website does not collect sensitive personal information. Job applications collect some, as described in the applicant notice, and we use it only for purposes the CCPA permits, so we do not offer a "limit the use" link.

Retention. We keep website request data only as long as needed to operate and secure the site. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear it. Meta and Google keep data under their own policies.

Your rights

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to obtain a copy; to correct inaccurate information; to delete it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and ask you to verify your identity.

Residents of other U.S. states

Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia and others, may have rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of their personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data and certain profiling. The cookie banner, the opt-out link and GPC give every visitor these choices. Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.

Visitors from the European Union and United Kingdom

Barney Trucking operates only in the United States, but if EU or UK law applies to your visit:

  • Controller: Barney Trucking, Inc., 235 Utah 24, Salina, Utah 84654, USA.
  • Legal bases: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (request data); your consent (the Meta Pixel and any YouTube or Google Maps content you choose to load); and steps you take toward an employment contract (job applications).
  • Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawing consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
  • International transfers: information is processed in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses used by our providers.

Notice at collection for job applicants

When you apply for a job with Barney Trucking, you complete our application on a website operated by our application provider, Tenstreet, LLC (intelliapp.driverapponline.com), which processes your application on our behalf. Barney Trucking is responsible for the information you submit.

What we collect. Depending on the position, this includes identifiers and contact details (name, address history, phone, email); Social Security number and date of birth; driver's license and commercial driver's license details and endorsements; employment history; driving and accident history; driving records; drug and alcohol testing history; information needed for background checks you authorize; and anything else you choose to provide. Driver applications collect the information federal motor-carrier safety regulations require (49 CFR Part 391).

Why. To evaluate your application, verify your qualifications, run the safety, background and testing checks the law requires or you authorize, communicate with you about the hiring process, and meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations.

Sale, sharing and retention. We do not sell or share applicant information. We keep it for as long as needed for hiring and as required by employment and federal transportation recordkeeping laws.

California applicants have the CCPA rights described above, subject to exceptions the law allows.

How to make a request or contact us

We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time as the law allows. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before acting on a request to know, copy, correct or delete.
