On May 5, 2006, the Utah Trucking Association, in conjunction with the American Trucking Association, awarded Barney Trucking, Inc. the Great West Safety Award. This award represented First Place for Outstanding Achievement in Highway Safety, Tank Truck Division, less than 15,000,000 miles.

Barney Trucking, Inc. also received the First Place award for Industral Safety in the Tank Truck - Dry Bulk Division for less than 300 employees.

Barney Trucking, Inc. has received both of these awards numerous times.
